IREN is seeking an experienced Environmental Lead to drive environmental compliance, risk management and sustainability performance across our Australian projects and operations.
Reporting to the HSSE Manager - Australia, you will provide environmental leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from development and construction through to operations.

About You
Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
7+ years' experience in construction, energy, infrastructure, data centres, resources or utilities.
Strong knowledge of Australian environmental legislation and approvals.
Experience with ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, investigation and reporting skills.
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites across Australia.

Key Responsibilities




Lead and maintain IREN's Environmental Management System and environmental risk framework.
Manage environmental approvals, licences, permits and compliance obligations.
Provide environmental advice across development, construction and operational activities.
Lead environmental risk assessments, monitoring and incident investigations.
Oversee waste, water, biodiversity, heritage, emissions and environmental management programs.
Manage contractor environmental performance and compliance.
Build solid relationships with regulators, consultants and key stakeholders.
Drive environmental awareness, training and continuous improvement initiatives.
