Greater Northern Community Services (GNCS) is seeking a caring, reliable and experienced Support Worker to support a 24-year-old female participant in Cranbourne. The role involves providing personalised support to enable community participation, independence and wellbeing. You will work Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
Key responsibilities
Assist with community access and social outings
Provide transport and companionship to appointments
Offer companionship and emotional support
Assist with light household cleaning
Assist with light washing and laundry
Support meal preparation and cooking
Encourage independence and daily living skills
Support the participant to maintain a positive and structured daily routine
About you
Patient, compassionate and reliable
Experience supporting participants with intellectual disability and complex mental health needs
Positive understanding of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression and anxiety
Knowledge and confidence in EpiPen use and responding appropriately to allergic reactions
Comfortable supporting a participant with asthma
Able to build a trusting and consistent qualified relationship

Working With Children Check
First Aid & CPR
Current Driver's Licence
Reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
