Key responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Cooking
Prepare, cook, and present menu items to café standards.
Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation.
Adapt dishes to dietary requirements and customer requests.

Kitchen Hygiene & Safety
Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
Keep kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment clean and compliant with HACCP.
Follow OH&S; procedures to ensure safe operations.

Stock & Inventory Management
Monitor ingredient levels and assist with ordering supplies.
Rotate stock using FIFO to minimise waste.
Store food correctly to maintain freshness and quality.





Teamwork & Collaboration
Work closely with chefs, baristas, and front‑of‑house staff.
Communicate effectively during busy service periods.
Support training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff.

Customer Experience Support
