The Role
We're looking for a Tax Accountant to join us full time, in office in Footscray.
You'll prepare and review individual and business tax returns, keep everything compliant with the latest tax law, and help clients think ahead with smart tax planning. You'll also prepare and analyse financial statements, keep accounting records tidy and accurate,
and pitch in on business advisory work.
Day to day, you'll be meeting with clients, making sense of their financial information, answering tax and accounting questions, and working alongside a team that genuinely likes each other. We'll expect you to keep up with changes in tax legislation, and we'd love your ideas on how we can do things better around here.
What We're Looking For
Solid tax skills across preparation and compliance
A robust grip on accounting principles and processes
Confidence preparing, reviewing and interpreting financial statements
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar (or equivalent experience)
CPA or CA qualified, or working towards it (highly regarded)
Experience with SMEs and individual tax clients
Sharp attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Warm, clear communication with clients and colleagues alike
Familiarity with tax software and general accounting systems
