POP & Co is an established outsourcing business based in Hawthorn, Australia, providing a range of services from accounting to digital marketing. Our client base consists of small to medium businesses and high net worth individuals, across a variety of industries.

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and organised Accountant to join our rapid expanding team, on a full-time basis.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
n
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
n
Process payroll and lodge Single Touch Payroll.
n
Prepare and review BAS/IAS, P&L;, balance sheet, and aging reports.
n
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
n
Ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws, GST, and ATO guidelines.
n
Assist with internal/external audits and compliance requirements.
n
Communicate effectively with clients via email, calls, and meetings to ensure excellent service delivery.
n
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold client confidentiality.
n




Identify process improvements and support automation/efficiency initiatives.
n
Ability to understand client and jurisdiction requirements and conform to them for all deliverables.
n
Analyse the MI data collated by the team on regular basis to detect trends and suggesting improvisations.

Key Requirements

n

n
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
n
Full/ Partial qualification in CIMA/ACCA/CPA
n
3 - 4 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to Australian accounts
n
Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills
n
Robust communication skills (written and verbal) with client-facing experience
n
Ability to work accurately under deadlines and manage multiple priorities
n
Solid attention to detail and analytical mindset
n
Tech-savvy and comfortable using numerous online platforms for research outreach
n
Ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision
n
A team player with a can do attitude
