Purpose of the Position In **** Batchelor Institute will deliver graduate certificate courses.
These courses will be delivered online through the CANVAS learning platform.
This position will work with a small team of academic staff to prepare and deliver these courses.
The main duties of this position will be teaching across two graduate certificate courses.
This will involve preparing online learning sites, preparing and delivering lectures, leading tutorial discussions and activities, marking and providing feedback on written and verbal assessments.
Duties
Prepare teaching content for graduate certificate courses
Deliver lectures in the Indigenous Employment Success graduate certificate course
Deliver lectures in the Indigenous Leadership graduate certificate course.
Prepare and deliver lectures in graduate certificate courses
Lead tutorial discussions and activities
Liaise with stakeholders as required about student study expectations and options
Undertake other reasonable duties as directed by your line manager.
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in culturally diverse teams within the social, political, and cultural environments of Indigenous Australian families, communities, and organisations.
Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and oral communication which can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all educational levels.
Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated initiative and managing workload priorities.
Understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and practices, and ability to comply with Institute WHS Policies and Procedures.
Must have a bachelor's degree.
Must have experience delivering training or teaching to adult learners.
Must have well developed oral and written communication skills.
Must have a valuable understanding of Indigenous employment matters and how these impact on Indigenous people.
