Your next career opportunity
In this role, you will support world-class research throughaccuratefinancial reporting and sponsor assurance.
You will collaborate with researchers, finance partners and external funders, strengthening compliance andfinancial managementcapability.
You will also drive continuous improvement in processes,templatesand controls within Research Finance.
Whatyou willdeliver:
Timely completing of financial accounting processes such as interest distribution and revenue recognition
Ensuretimelysubmission of compliant financial reports to sponsors and resolve income variances across multiple funding sources.
Provideexpert financial advice tothe research finance partnering teams, strengthening understanding of good governance and compliance requirements.
Initiate and contribute to continuous improvement, enhancing processes, controls,documentationand Excel reporting templates.
Build productive relationships with key external funders, and external auditorsincluding ARC, NHMRC, government,industryand international partners.
**You maybe a great fitif:**
Hold a relevant business degree plus CA, CPA or equivalent accounting qualification and substantial experience.
Demonstrate strong experience in multi-source reconciliations, varianceresolutionand preparation of audited financial statements.
Interpret complex funding agreements,policiesand contracts toprovideclear advice and ensure robust financial governance.
Use advanced Excel skills to design templates, manipulate data and support high-volume reporting requirements.
Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills toidentifyissues and lead operational process improvements.
Build and manage productive stakeholder relationships, communicating effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
