The Opportunity
We areseeking anexperiencedEngineeringManagerto lead our software engineering capability.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering,you willlbe responsible forbuilding and developing a high-performing engineering team while providing technical leadership across software delivery, cloud platforms, reliabilityengineering,securityandoperational excellence.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people leadership,technologyleadershipanddelivery accountability.
You will work closely with Product, Data,TechnologyOperationsandbusiness stakeholders to deliver high-quality technology outcomes while continuing to mature engineering practices across the organisation.

Software Engineering & Delivery
Lead the delivery of business-critical software solutions and digital products
Support architecture and solution-design activities
Drive engineering quality,testing,automationandmaintainability
Improve delivery processes and engineering effectiveness
Partner with Product and business stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes
Cloud, Platform & Reliability
Lead engineering practices across cloud-native and modern application environments
Drive platformscalability,resilienceandoperational maturity
Improve observability,monitoring,deploymentandincident management practices
Champion automation and modern infrastructure approaches
Ensure engineering solutions aresecure,maintainableandreliable
Security & Operational Excellence
Support vulnerabilitymanagement,resilienceandrisk mitigation activities
Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and governance
Ensure quality, reliability and security are embedded into software delivery
Collaborate with Technology Operations and Security teams tomaintainstrong operational standards
Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and quality
Encourage innovation and adoption of modern engineering practices
Support continuous learning and professional development across the team




Drive pragmatic use of automation and emerging technologies
Balance innovation withgovernance,securityandmaintainability
About You:
Solid experience in software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, SiteReliabilityEngineeringorrelated disciplines
Proven experience leading software engineering teams
Strong background in up-to-date software architecture and engineering practices
Experience delivering scalable,secureand reliable software platforms
Strong understanding of cloud platforms and modern software delivery approaches
Experience with automation, CI/CDand engineering productivity improvements
Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach and develop engineers
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
Highly Desirable
Experience leading engineering teams through periods of growth and transformation
Experience with cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-codeand modern platform engineering approaches
Experience withsecurity,reliabilityandoperational excellence practices
Experience with AI-assisted software development and engineering automation
Experience building and scaling engineering capability within complex organisations
Experience working in customer-focused or operationally critical environments
