About This Opportunity
Health Translation Queensland (HTQ) brings together 12 of Queensland's leading health research and health service provider organisations to improve population health outcomes through cooperative research translation.
Working across clinical, research, education, government, industry and community settings, the partnership connects scientific discovery and knowledge with health practice and policy.
As Associate Director for HTQ, known locally at HTQ as Executive Director, you will provide visionary and purposeful leadership that mobilises the collective strengths of Health Translation Queensland's partners.
You will implement and evolve the strategic plan, strengthen the partnership's influence and sustainability, and create the conditions for collaborative research to deliver meaningful benefits for local populations.
Leading a small executive team and working closely with an engaged Board, you will foster trust across organisational boundaries and help a diverse network create change together.
About You
You are a strategic and inspiring leaderwithdemonstratedexpertiseintranslational health research and the credibility to work across clinical, academic,government,industryandcommunity environments.
You bring highly developed knowledge of the health and research sectors, including the relationships between health service providers,academicinstitutionsandresearch organisations.
Your leadership iscollaborative,influentialandpolitically astute.
You can navigate ambiguity and multiple lines of authority,



maketimelyand strategically sound decisions, and build trust among stakeholders with diverse needs and priorities.
You will bring exceptional communication, negotiation and relationship management skills, experience of the state and federal health and research funding environment, and a strong record of translating strategy into measurable impact.
A tertiary qualification in health and a doctorate degree, or equivalent, are desirable.
