Automation Technician – Leading Food Manufacturing Business
n Location: Corowa, NSW

The OpportunityWe are currently seeking an experienced Automation Technician to join a leading food manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and operational excellence.
n This is an excellent opportunity for an automation-focused technician who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to play a key role in keeping highly automated production lines running safely and efficiently.
n You will work closely with the maintenance, engineering and production teams to troubleshoot automation issues, minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement across the site.
n
The Role
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Troubleshooting and fault-finding PLC, automation and control systems
n
Diagnosing electrical and instrumentation faults across automated production equipment
n
Supporting production teams with breakdowns and automation-related issues
n
Programming and modifying PLCs, HMIs and control systems
n
Working with sensors, VSDs, servos, robotics and automated machinery
n
Preventative and corrective maintenance of automation equipment
n
Identifying opportunities to improve machine reliability and reduce downtime
n
Assisting with commissioning, upgrades and installation of new equipment
n
Working with engineering and maintenance teams on continuous improvement projects
n
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring all work is completed safely and to site standards
n
n
About You
n
We are looking for someone with:
n
n
NSW Electrical License
n
Relevant electrical, automation, mechatronics or engineering qualification
n
Previous experience in a manufacturing, FMCG or process environment
n
Solid PLC troubleshooting and programming experience
n
Experience with HMIs, VSDs, sensors and industrial control systems
n
Strong electrical fault-finding capability
n
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
n
A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and reliability
n
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
n
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a production environment
n
