About the Role
n
The Consumer Voice Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the voices of consumers are heard and embedded across IPC Health's service planning, design, delivery and evaluation activities.
n
Working within the Governance, Quality and Risk team, you will coordinate the implementation of IPC Health's Consumer Voice Framework and support initiatives that strengthen meaningful consumer participation across the organisation.
n
You will build trusted relationships with consumers, carers, staff and community stakeholders while creating opportunities for people with lived experience to contribute to organisational decision‐making and service improvement initiatives.
n
Key Responsibilities Include
n
n
Coordinating the implementation and ongoing delivery of IPC Health's Consumer Voice Framework and associated processes.
n
Supporting consumer engagement activities under the direction of the Senior Manager Governance, Quality and Risk.
n
Coordinating and facilitating meaningful consumer participation activities across all areas of IPC Health.
n
Recruiting, onboarding and supporting consumers to participate in engagement opportunities.
n
Building the capability of consumers and staff through education, training and development opportunities.
n
Building and maintaining positive relationships with consumers, carers and community stakeholders.
n
Supporting evaluation, data collection and reporting activities relating to consumer participation.
n
Monitoring and reporting on consumer engagement outcomes, including participation levels, diversity and engagement activities.
n
Providing administrative and operational support for consumer engagement initiatives.
n
Fostering a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages meaningful consumer participation.
n

About You
n
You are passionate about community participation and believe consumers should have a genuine voice in shaping the services they receive.
n
You bring strong relationship-building and organisational skills, with an ability to engage and support people from diverse backgrounds in a respectful and inclusive way.

To Succeed, You Will Need
n
n
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining positive relationships with consumers, carers and stakeholders.
n
Demonstrated understanding of consumer participation, co-design or consumer engagement principles.
n
Previous experience working within healthcare, community health, disability, aged care or a not-for-profit environment.
n
Robust organisational, administrative and time management skills.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, cultural safety and respectful engagement.
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
n
Current Victorian Driver Licence.
n
n
Desirable
n
n
Experience coordinating community engagement, volunteer, consumer participation or lived-experience programs.
n
Knowledge of community health, healthcare quality improvement or consumer participation frameworks.
n
Experience facilitating group discussions, workshops or engagement activities.
n
n
