Opening late ****, the new Canterbury Leisure & Aquatic Centre is set to become the heart of health, fitness and fun in our community. We are now recruiting Wellness Instructors to help deliver engaging, inclusive and high-quality wellness programs across our Leisure and Aquatic centres.
n
The role
n
We are seeking passionate and qualified Wellness Instructors to join our Leisure and Aquatic Services team.
n
In this role, you will deliver high-quality group fitness and wellness classes, support members on their health and fitness journey, and help create a safe, welcoming and positive experience for our community.
n
You will deliver programs such as yoga, Pilates, reformer, Zumba or other recognised wellness classes, depending on your qualifications and area of expertise.
n
Duties will include but not be limited to:
n
n
Deliver engaging, safe and inclusive wellness classes in line with Council's programs and industry standards.
n
Support members on their health and fitness journey through advice, encouragement and customer engagement.
n
Maintain clean, safe and well-presented group exercise spaces and equipment.
n
Communicate with customers about current programs, activities and services.
n
Complete required documentation, including pre-exercise questionnaires and records.
n
Respond to customer requests and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
n

You will have:
n
n
Certificate for your specialist program, such as Yoga,



Pilates, Reformer, Zumba or another recognised wellness program approved by AusActive
n
Current First Aid Certificate.
n
Current CPR Certificate.
n
Current Working with Children Check.
n
Fitness registration with an Australian-based organisation, or willingness to obtain this within 3 months of employment.
n
Strong customer service and communication skills.
n
Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing operational needs.
n
Evidence of full unrestricted working rights in Australia.
n
n
The hourly rate for this chance is $*****, Grade E, Step 1, plus 25% casual loading and 12% super.
n
