Job Description

About the role
n
Reporting directly to the Group Workplace Relations Manager, the role will be responsible to:
n
n
Provide practical advice on workforce performance and disciplinary matters.
n
Support/Provide practical advice to leaders on performance matters, behavioral issues, employee grievances.
n
Interpret and advise on the Fair Work Act, employment contracts and industrial instruments.
n
Conduct workplace investigations - evidence plans, interviews and findings report writing
n
Assist in the continuous improvement of ER/IR policies and procedures
n
Keep abreast of legislation and regulations in HR/IR.
n
Utilise an online Workplace Relations case work system.
n
Contribute to broader Workplace Relations projects and initiatives.
n

Desired Skills and Experience
n
Skills, Experience, Attributes
n
n
Proven years experience in a Workplace Relations/IR Advisor role
n
Tertiary qualifications in HR/IR whilst preferable is not essential
n
Experience in interpreting the Fair Work Act and industrial instruments
n
Workplace incident investigation experience including witness interviewing and reporting
n
Preparedness to develop advocacy skills in representing the Company in the Fair Work and EEO Commissions.
n
Writing and reviewing ER/IR policies and procedures.
n
Consulting and stakeholder management skills.
n
Ability to manage conflicting deadlines.
n
Strong team and customer oriented and willingness to take on new challenges.
n
