Sailing Australia Job Board
Western Australia
The Nedlands Yacht Club is located on the western foreshore of the Derbal Yerigan/Swan River in the City of Nedlands, Western Australia. The NYC prides itself on being an affordable, family‐friendly sailing club with off‐the‐beach access to the best sailing waters in Perth. Many club duties are run by volunteers, but the club employs a small number of full‐time and part‐time staff. It is an authorised Australian Sailing Sail Training venue and offers a healthy program of Tackers sailing courses during school holidays for primary‐school students.
NYC operates three business units – Sailing, Functions and Marketing, and Facilities. The club's main income streams come from functions hosting weddings, parties, and conferences; the club also has a fully licensed bar and kitchen. A new Sail Training Center has recently opened, enabling the club to host more youth, state, and Australian sailing events and to grow its functions and marketing unit to fund equipment replacement while keeping membership fees affordable.
