Apprenticeship Opportunity - Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (AUR*****) - NW Tasmania.

Work & Training, in partnership with Devonport City Council, is looking for a motivated apprentice to join their team and complete a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (AUR*****).
n
This is your chance to earn while you learn, gain a nationally recognised qualification, and work on a wide range of vehicles, small plant & heavy machinery used every day across the local community.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
As part of the Council's workshop team, you'll learn how to:
n
n
Service, maintain and repair vehicles and heavy equipment
n
Diagnose faults and solve mechanical problems
n
Use industry-standard tools, equipment and technology
n
Inspect and test machinery to ensure it is operating safely
n
Work alongside experienced mechanics and tradespeople
n
Build practical skills that can set you up for a long-term career
n
n
No two days will be the same, and you'll gain experience working on a diverse fleet of vehicles, mobile plant and equipment.

Essential Requirements
n
n
Current Tasmanian driver's licence
n
Good literacy, numeracy and digital skills
n
Ability to follow safety procedures and workplace instructions
n
Comfortable working around oils, grease, petrol and diesel
n
n
Bonus Points If You Have
n
n
Completed Year 12 or relevant VET studies
n
Experience using hand tools
n
First Aid Certificate
n
White Card
n
n
