STORE / RETAIL MANAGER Keli Kunj Retail Pty Ltd is an independently owned IGA fresh food retailer located in Byron Bay, NSW ****. We are seeking an experienced Store Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in store management and be capable of overseeing daily operations, staff performance, merchandising, purchasing, stock management, and inventory control.

Key responsibilities
n

Take ownership of the store's day-to-day operations, performance, and overall results.
n
Manage a high-volume supermarket with a strong focus on fresh food and maintaining an appropriate product range.
n
Achieve budgeted sales, gross profit, and labour targets.
n
Oversee pricing and implement sales campaigns and regular in-store promotions.
n
Ensure the store complies with all relevant legislative obligations and audit requirements.
n
Maintain company standards and apply effective loss-prevention procedures.
n
Lead and support the store team, including Department Managers.
n
Ensure consistently high standards of customer service across all departments.
n
Negotiate favourable commercial terms and maintain productive relationships with suppliers.
n




Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and employees to achieve business objectives.
n
Increase sales and guide the team towards profitable outcomes.
n
Build relationships within the local community and represent the business professionally.
n
Recruit, train, develop, and manage employee performance.
n
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for the owner relating to financial accounts, staffing, regulatory compliance, and other business activities.

Requirements
n
n
At least one year of full-time experience, or equivalent part time experience, in retail or store management, or in a department management or supervisory position that included financial responsibilities.
n
Demonstrated ability to manage supermarket retail operations successfully.
n
A sound knowledge of product presentation, inventory management, stock control, and loss prevention.
n
A strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
n
Intermediate computer and IT skills.
n
Availability to work weekends when required.
n

An annual salary of $85,500 to $95,500, plus superannuation, will be offered to the successful candidate, depending on their qualifications, skills, and experience. Employment conditions will comply with the General Retail Industry Award (MA******).
