We are seeking an exceptional Executive Director Lived Experience to lead this important program.
n
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Executive Team and Senior Leadership Group, the Executive Director will provide organisation-wide leadership to ensure lived experience, lived expertise, intersectionality, equity and justice are embedded across Mind's strategy, culture, workforce, governance and service delivery.
n
This is a highly influential role with sector influence at the intersection of lived experience leadership, organisational transformation, service innovation and mental health reform.
n
About you
n
You will be an established and credible lived experience leader with the personal authority,



strategic capability and executive presence to influence an organisation of Mind's scale and complexity.
n
Importantly, you will bring publicly disclosed personal/consumer lived experience, together with demonstrated lived expertise and professional experience commensurate with an executive leadership position.
n
You will have:
n
n
Significant executive leadership experience and a sophisticated understanding of lived experience as a discipline.
n
A strong track record of embedding lived experience, co-design and participation into organisational strategy, governance, workforce and service delivery. Deep understanding of peer work and contemporary lived experience practice, including Intentional Peer Support.
n
Experience leading organisational or system-level change and influencing senior stakeholders.
n
The credibility to work effectively with consumers, families and carers, government, sector leaders, lived experience peaks, researchers and community partners.
n
A strong understanding of intersectionality, diversity and inclusion, human rights and social justice.
n
Experience leading and developing high-performing teams and managing budgets and organisational performance.
n
Commercial curiosity and the ability to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, research and recent models of service delivery.
n
Exceptional communication, influencing and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to represent Mind publicly.
n
n
