About the role

A leading mining contractor is seeking a capable Safety Advisor to provide immediate coverage across a busy site operation.
n
This is an initial three-month temporary assignment with the potential to extend. Working closely with production and maintenance teams, you will provide practical safety support across field activities, injury management, investigations and operational reporting.
n
This is an advisor-level position suited to someone with approximately two years of relevant experience who is comfortable working in the field and engaging directly with operational teams.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Provide day-to-day safety advice and support across site operations
n
Build effective working relationships with production and maintenance personnel
n
Conduct regular field interactions, observations and safety conversations
n
Support workplace investigations and assist with preparing accurate timelines
n
Coordinate injury management activities and support return-to-work processes
n
Maintain safety records, documentation and reporting requirements
n
Work across client and contractor safety management systems
n
Use SharePoint and other computer-based systems to manage safety information
n
Promote compliance with site procedures and relevant safety requirements
n

About you
n
To be successful, you will ideally have:
n
n
Approximately two years' experience in a Safety Advisor or similar site-based role
n
Previous experience within mining, resources, heavy industry or a comparable operational environment
n
Working knowledge of incident investigations and timeline development
n
Experience supporting injury management and return-to-work processes
n
Confidence engaging with production and maintenance teams in the field
n
Solid relationship-building and communication skills
n
Good computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly
n
Previous experience using SharePoint
n
Exposure to BMA and SIS systems would be highly regarded
n
Availability to commence within two weeks
n
