We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary building services design team delivering complex and high-profile projects.
n

The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading mechanical design delivery, managing project packages, and working closely with clients and project teams to deliver innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
n
n
This role requires a strong technical background in building services, combined with the ability to manage projects, guide junior engineers, and maintain strong client relationships.
n
n Key Responsibilitiesn
n
n
n
Lead mechanical building services design from feasibility through to construction and project completion.
n
n
Deliver HVAC and mechanical system designs including calculations, specifications, and coordinated documentation.
n
n
Manage selected projects or design packages to meet programme, budget, and quality requirements.
n
n
Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines, architects, and project stakeholders to ensure integrated design outcomes.
n
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project teams.
n
n
Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to junior engineers and designers.
n
n
Review engineering documentation and ensure designs meet relevant codes, standards, and project requirements.
n
n
Support project planning, resource allocation,



and commercial aspects of project delivery.
n
n
Project exposures: Residential (Apartments, mixed use), Commercial, Healthcare, Education, Transport, Industrial & Government.

n Experience & Skillsn
n
n
n
Significant experience in mechanical building services engineering within a consulting environment.
n
n
Proven ability to lead mechanical design across complex building projects.
n
n
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical plant, and building services coordination.
n
n
Experience managing project packages, resources, and deliverables.
n
n
Excellent communication skills with confidence engaging clients and stakeholders.
n
n
Strong understanding of Australian standards and building codes.
n
n
Proficiency with industry design tools such as REVIT, AutoCAD, and BIM platforms.
n
n
