Job Description
Help shape the next generation of NSW Touch Football events
n
NSW Touch Football is looking for an experienced, energetic and highly organised Events Manager to lead the delivery of some of the biggest Touch Football events in the country.
n
This is more than an events role.
n
It is an opportunity to play a key part in the next chapter of NSW Touch Football as we deliver our Our Game, Our Future ********* Strategic Plan, grow participation across the state and continue raising the standard of the experience we provide to our players, Affiliates, volunteers, officials, partners and supporters.
n
With NSWTF targeting 100,000 unique members by ****, our events will be central to how we connect communities, showcase the game and create experiences that make people want to participate, return and stay involved in Touch Football.
n
From major State Championships and representative events through to competitions and other key NSWTF activities, the Events Manager will lead the planning and delivery of a significant annual events calendar across New South Wales.
n
The chance
n
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and leading two Events Coordinators, you will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of NSWTF's events, tournaments and championships.
n
You'll be responsible for making sure our events don't just run well — but continue to get better.
n
That means bringing together event operations, venues, logistics, people, suppliers and stakeholders while also helping improve the way our events look, feel and are experienced by everyone who attends them.
n
Working closely with our Marketing & Communications team, you'll also help ensure NSWTF events are strong promotional and commercial assets, with quality event presentation, branding,
partner activation and fan-facing experiences.

What you'll lead
n
As Events Manager, you will:
n
Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of NSWTF events, championships and major competitions.
n
Manage event plans, timelines, venues, staffing, suppliers, logistics and operational schedules.
n
Lead and develop our two Events Coordinators and build a high-performing events function.
n
Ensure events are safe, compliant, professionally presented and consistently delivered.
n
Work closely with Marketing & Communications to improve event presentation, branding, promotion and partner activation.
n
Continue to improve the experience for participants, officials, volunteers, Affiliates, partners and spectators.
n
Build strong relationships with venues, suppliers, contractors, Affiliates, Regions and key stakeholders.
n
Identify new ways to improve event systems, processes, delivery and overall experience.
n
Provide event planning, operational updates and recommendations to the CEO.
n
The role is central to creating events that strengthen both the participant experience and the commercial value of the sport.

About you
n
We are looking for someone who loves sport and events, enjoys taking ownership and can turn detailed plans into outstanding experiences.
n
You'll need to be equally comfortable looking at the big picture and getting into the detail when an event is being delivered.
n
You will bring strong organisation and communication skills, confidence working with a range of stakeholders and the ability to keep things moving when circumstances change.
n
Most importantly, we want someone who is keen to challenge how things have traditionally been done and help us continue lifting the standard of NSWTF events.
n
The role requires leadership, event delivery capability, organisation, stakeholder service, resilience, adaptability and operational discipline.
n
As any major sporting events role, some weekend and out-of-hours work will be required across the year.

The successful applicant will be required to hold or obtain the appropriate First Aid and CPR qualifications, National Police/Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and current Driver Licence.
