Position Overview:
n
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ISR Underwriter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of insurance policies, ensuring profitability and growth while maintaining robust relationships with our clients and underwriters.

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Develop and maintain relationships with brokers to ensure quality service and profitable business growth
n
Evaluate and underwrite insurance policies in accordance with company guidelines and risk appetite
n
Analyze and interpret data to determine risk levels and appropriate coverage
n
Negotiate terms and conditions with underwriters to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients
n
Monitor and review policy performance and make recommendations for adjustments as needed
n
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and inform decision making
n
Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement strategies for business growth and retention
n




Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
n
Maintain accurate and organized records of policies, correspondence, and other relevant information
n
Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve knowledge and skills in insurance underwriting
n

Qualifications and Skills:
n
n
Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance property underwriting, preferably in the Queensland market
n
Solid knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and risk assessment
n
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
n
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and underwriters
n
Detail-oriented with solid analytical and problem-solving skills
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
n
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
n
Insurance industry certifications (e.g. ANZIIF) are an asset
n
