Job Description
Are you interested in local government and animal management?
n We have an exciting opportunity for energetic and community focused individuals to join our Ranger team in a mixed office and field role.
n Your responsibilities will include parking compliance, patrols of beaches and parks and roaming animals.
n Daily interaction with members of the public will require effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
n
About the role:
n
n
As a Field Ranger you will investigate compliance related issues under the Local Government, Road Transport (General), Public Spaces (Unattended Property) and Companion Animals Acts.
n
You will use your customer service skills to communicate with members of the public while managing demanding situations.
n
The role provides a balance between working in the field and completing reports or documents in the office
n
The work workplace has competing demands and requires well developed time management skills.
n
n
To be successful in this role you will need:
n
n
A passion for the community.
n
Experience in or a willingness to learn, regulatory or enforcement functions.
n
Experience or an interest in the care and handling of animals including the capture of livestock, cats and dogs.
n
n

a base salary ranging from $64,608 per annum with competency-based increments up to $74,025 per annum, plus 12% super

76 hour, 9 day fortnight

This position is based in Murwillumbah, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
