Your Team:

The Futures Trading Technology team is part of the Markets Technology division within ASX Technology. We are a trusted partner to the ASX Futures business, providing solutions that ensure a secure, efficient clearing and settlement facility for ASX's derivatives trading business.

Your responsibilities:
n
n
Embedded within the Futures Trading Technology Platforms Team,



you will be responsible for building and supporting critical markets infrastructure for the ASX 24 Futures Exchange.
n
You will support a combination of vendor developed and in-house developed trading software solutions in predominantly Linux environments performing build activities and providing L3 support during production incidents
n
You will be able to build automation tooling using shell scripting or Python/Perl programming languages
n
You will hands-on in trouble shooting server, network or relational database related issues
n
You will form part of a data engineering practice and community that will design and drive the adoption of standards, frameworks and best practices.
n
You will perform Non-Functional testing in QA environments.
n
You will work in both On-Premises and Cloud environments.
n

Your experience and qualifications:
n
Must have:
n
n
A hands-on engineer with deep experience working in low latency, limited downtime Electronic Trading environments
n
Practical experience with supporting complex Trading Systems in Linux environments
n
Hands on experiencing writing Shell/Python/Perl scripts
n
Solid understanding of network fundamentals including good network trouble shooting skills
n
Good understanding of relational databases
n
Experience working in Public or Private Cloud environments with a good knowledge of Virtual computing concepts
n
Experience with Packet Capture tooling such as Corvill
n




Experience with Data Warehouses and Data Lakes
n
n
