About the Role
n
The Motor Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they are safe, reliable, and in optimal working condition. You will work across a range of mechanical tasks including servicing, fault-finding, component repairs, and system diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Diagnose mechanical issues using both manual techniques and computerised diagnostic tools.
n
Service and repair engines, transmissions, brake systems, suspension, steering, and cooling systems.
n
Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, safety checks, and general servicing.
n
Inspect vehicles to identify required repairs, worn components, and potential safety concerns.
n




Test and adjust mechanical parts after repair to ensure correct operation.
n
Maintain accurate repair documentation, job sheets, and service records.
n
Assist with ordering parts and maintaining workshop stock levels.
n
Comply with WHS standards, workshop safety procedures, and environmental guidelines.
n
Work collaboratively with the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.

Skills & Experience
n
n
Certificate III or IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology or an equivalent qualification.
n
Minimum 1–2 years experience as a Motor Mechanic (required for Subclass 482 visa).
n
Strong diagnostic skills, including use of modern scanning tools.
n
Solid understanding of motor vehicle systems and repair techniques.
n
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
n
Strong communication skills and a positive team-oriented approach.
n
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
