Join an innovative and highly regarded Community Rapid Response Service (ComRRS) that's transforming how care is delivered in Northern Tasmania.
n
ComRRS is a dynamic and collaborative service built on a shared-care partnership with General Practitioners and community healthcare providers. Led by a Nurse Practitioner, our multidisciplinary team is known for its clinical excellence, responsiveness, and person-centred approach to care.
n
Receiving around 100 referrals each month, the service delivers timely, high-quality care across Launceston and surrounding communities, supporting people with acute and complex health needs to avoid hospitalisation and remain well at home.
n
Working alongside nursing staff, a dedicated Occupational Therapist, GPs and a broad network of healthcare professionals, you'll contribute to a service that makes a real difference when people need it most.

The Role
n
As the ComRRS Physiotherapist, you'll deliver rapid assessment and intervention for people across Launceston and surrounding communities experiencing acute, chronic and complex health conditions.
n
In this rapid-response role, you'll provide targeted episodes of care of up to six weeks, helping clients maximise independence, support recovery and reduce the risk of further deterioration.
n
This highly autonomous role offers significant clinical variety, with a caseload ranging from acute illness and injury to respiratory conditions, falls prevention, functional decline, palliative care and chronic disease exacerbations.
n Partnering closely with GPs and a multidisciplinary team,



you'll draw on strong clinical judgement, adaptability and collaboration to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.

About You
n
You're a confident and experienced physiotherapist who enjoys working autonomously while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.
n
You bring strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills and a commitment to person-centred care. You're comfortable working with complexity, making independent decisions and building effective relationships with clients, carers, GPs and other healthcare providers to achieve positive outcomes.

You'll ideally bring:
n
n
Extensive generalist physiotherapy experience, preferably within community and/or public health settings
n
Experience working with people with acute, chronic and complex health conditions
n
Strong risk assessment and clinical decision-making skills
n
The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team
n
Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills
n
A commitment to supporting people from diverse cultural, social and economic backgrounds
n
Current driver's licence
n

Permanent, full time, day worker position,



working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary
n
$117,272 to $126,182 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
n
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement ****.

qualification/program
of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
