We're seeking a motivated individual who thrives on helping others for a full-time ongoing role based at our Coburg site.

You'll be supported by a team of coaches, mentors and counsellors. Together, we can make a positive change in the lives of others.

Kickstart your career with Workskil Australia. We'll provide comprehensive training, and help you achieve a Certificate IV in Community Services after successfully completing probation.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Employment Coach is a dynamic and rewarding position. You will play a key role in assisting our customers to set and achieve their goals while meeting the contractual requirements of an employment service provider.
n
Your day-to-day can include the following:
n
n
Assisting diverse customers in overcoming personal and professional challenges
n
Delivering coaching to improve employability skills, confidence and career planning
n
Preparing quality resumes, cover letters and supporting the job application process
n
Finding suitable employment opportunities for customers and advocating on their behalfReferring customers to internal and external support for housing, mental health and financial counselling
n
Providing additional mentoring and support during the first six months of employment
n
Documenting customer information and progress accurately within Workskil Australia and Government systems
n

About You
n
You'll be a great fit for the team if you have a passion and drive for helping others. You will be self-motivated, inclusive and open-minded, and willing to listen and support without judgement. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
n
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Working independently and as part of a team
n
Ability to achieve individual targets and work to clearly defined KPIs
n
Robust administration skills and IT literacy, including data entry, Word, Excel and Outlook
n
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
n
Meeting a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute
n
n
Applicants with previous experience in employment services will be highly regarded.
