About the Opportunity
n
ASC is seeking an experienced and highly organised Occupational Health Nurse to join our Henderson Health Centre.
n
This is a diverse role that combines occupational health nursing with a significant administrative and coordination component. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the effective day-to-day operation of the Health Centre, maintaining accurate health records, coordinating workplace health programs and ensuring compliance with a range of occupational health requirements.
n
The role is ideally suited to a nurse who enjoys working in a highly organised environment, has exceptional attention to detail, and takes pride in maintaining accurate records and efficient systems. Strong administrative and computer skills are essential, as a significant portion of the role involves data management, documentation, health surveillance coordination, reporting and case administration.
n
Working within a high-risk industrial environment, no two days are the same. The successful candidate will also possess strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to confidently respond to a broad range of employee presentations ranging from minor illnesses and injuries through to more complex or urgent situations requiring escalation and coordination of care.

About You

You are an experienced and professional Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration who thrives in a role that combines clinical care, administration, coordination and employee engagement.
n
You are highly organised, exceptionally detail-oriented and able to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. You enjoy working autonomously,



take ownership of your workload and are committed to providing a high standard of service to employees and stakeholders.

Most importantly, you possess sound clinical judgement and the ability to remain calm and effective when responding to unexpected situations within a dynamic and high-risk workplace setting.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
n
Demonstrated occupational health, workplace health or relevant clinical nursing experience.
n
Exceptional administrative, organisational and coordination skills.
n
Outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
n
Advanced computer literacy and confidence using Microsoft Office, databases and electronic record management systems.
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a quick-paced environment.
n
Sound clinical assessment, triage and decision-making skills.
n
The ability to respond confidently and professionally to a broad range of health presentations and workplace incidents.
n
A strong commitment to professionalism, confidentiality and continuous improvement.

Desirable
n
n
Occupational Health Nursing qualification.
n
Workplace Drug and Alcohol Collection qualification.
n




Mental Health First Aid qualification.
n
Occupational First Aid qualification.
n
Nurse Immuniser qualification.
n
Experience coordinating health surveillance programs.
n
Understanding of fitness-for-work and workplace injury management principles.
n
Experience working within defence, industrial, manufacturing, construction, marine or other high-risk environments.
