Job Description
Trainer & Assessor in Community Services
n
Work Savvy is seeking experienced RTO Trainer & Assessor for Community Services to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality vocational training and assessment online and work based for the following qualifications;
n
CHC***** Certificate III in Community Services
n
CHC***** Certificate IV in Community Services
n
Key responsibilities
n
Engage with Online, Workbased and Traineeship students and their
employers/supervisors
n
Mentor and communicate with students and their
employers/supervisors
via a variety of methods; Teams/Zoom, Phone, Email and workplace visits where applicable
n
Assess student knowledge, skills, and competencies against nationally recognised training standards.
n
Provide constructive feedback and guidance to support student learning and progress.
n
Monitor student participation, engagement, and performance in online learning environments.
n
Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, assessment outcomes, and progress.
n
Support students in achieving learning goals, including providing additional guidance or resources where required.
n
Ensure compliance with RTO policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ASQA, Standards for RTOs, Funding Contracts).
n
Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and industry stakeholders.
n
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including reviewing course content and assessment tools.
n
Participate in professional development to maintain current knowledge of industry practices and training methods.
n
What we're looking for
n
Vocational competency and currency with aminimum of 3-5 years of industry experience
n
Mandatory -Candidates must have specific industry experience to demonstrate industry currency within the last12 months.
n
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE*****) or its successor
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and support students from diverse backgrounds
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to contribute to the continuous improvement of training programs
n
Excellent time management and organisational skills to juggle competing priorities
n
Your own ABN & Insurances
n
You will need a transparent Police Check and WWCC
n
