We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician / Mobile Fitter to join our Banksmeadow team. This is a hands-on field-based role working across heavy plant, trucks, machinery and fixed plant equipment.

About the Role
n
As a Field Service Technician / Mobile Fitter, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting heavy equipment in the field and at customer sites.
n
n
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on heavy machinery
n
Preventative and breakdown maintenance
n
Working on trucks, heavy mobile equipment and fixed plant
n
Completing mechanical maintenance and servicing
n
Performing construction and maintenance tasks
n
Troubleshooting mechanical issues and identifying root causes
n




Working safely and efficiently across different sites and environments
n
Completing manual and physically demanding tasks as required
n
Communicating effectively with customers, supervisors and other team members
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this position, you will have:
n
n
A recognised trade qualification
n
Relevant High Risk Work Licences
n
Minimum 2 years' post-apprenticeship experience in the metal, manufacturing, mining or heavy equipment industry
n
Proven experience working on trucks, heavy machinery and fixed plant
n
Strong knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance requirements
n
Good understanding of the operational characteristics of a variety of heavy equipment
n
Sound understanding of Work Health & Safety legislation
n
Proven ability to perform skilled construction, mechanical and maintenance tasks
n
Ability to confidently undertake a range of manual tasks
n
Strong verbal and written communication skills
n
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
n
A practical, logical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving
n
Ability to assess difficult situations, identify causes, evaluate options and implement effective solutions
n
A strong safety focus and professional approach to field service work
n
