Our client is a fast-growing solar & battery energy storage (BESS) rental business leading the shift away from diesel toward cleaner, quieter, smarter temporary power.

The Opportunity
We're looking for a driven Sales Representative / Business Development Manager (BDM) to grow our client's solar & battery energy storage (BESS) rental business across construction, mining, civil infrastructure, rail, tunnelling, agriculture and large-scale developments.
You'll take ownership of a defined patch, build your own pipeline, and run the full sales cycle — from lead generation through to quote, close and account management.
This is a hunter's role first and foremost.
You'll be given the tools, product and support to go and win business — not sit and wait for it.
What You'll Do
Proactively generate leads and build a strong pipeline across major projects nationally (with a focus on the East Coast and WA)
Engage directly with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors and major developers — including builders working on large commercial and mining developments, and businesses constructing data centres
Conduct site visits, assess temporary power needs and identify off-grid solar & battery opportunities, particularly within the mining sector
Prepare and present simple, fast-turnaround quotes and proposals (with engineering support available when solutions get technical)
Win contracts and manage the deployment and account relationship through the rental period




Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting records in CRM
Work closely with a small, capable team — including sales support and fellow BDMs — with direct access to leadership for commercial decisions
Who We're Looking For
Solid experience in a proactive, hunter-style sales or BDM role — ideally selling into construction, mining, civil, equipment hire, temporary power, generators or a related industrial/technical space
A genuine track record of self-generating leads and building relationships from the ground up, not just managing an inherited book
Confident presenting to and negotiating with senior stakeholders at Tier 1/Tier 2 contractors and major developers
Comfortable engaging technically enough to represent the product credibly, with engineering support on hand for complex solutions
Self-starter who thrives on autonomy, targets and building something rather than maintaining it
Based on the East Coast preferred, though open to the right candidate elsewhere in Australia
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites
Bonus if you have
Experience in power generation, hybrid systems or renewable energy
Existing relationships with Tier 1/Tier 2 contractors or major developers
