At UnitingCare, we're looking for a Senior Functional Analyst with proven experience maintaining and improving Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems to take ownership of our Prophix platform and play a critical role in driving smarter financial processes across the business.
Sitting at the intersection of finance and technology, you'll act as the go-to expert for Prophix, supporting and partnering with teams across the wider business to solve complex challenges, maintain system reliability and deliver meaningful improvements.
This role is built on strong stakeholder partnership, a deep understanding of the business, and the ability to think outside the box in a rapidly changing environment.
You'll work closely with teams across Finance and the wider organisation to understand their needs, translate business challenges into practical system solutions, and use your knowledge of our operations, financial processes and EPM capability to enhance performance, accuracy and efficiency.
With a strong foundation in financial principles and hands-on experience administering, maintaining and optimising EPM platforms, you'll bring curiosity, patience, adaptability and a solutions-focused mindset to continually improve how our systems and people work together.
Please note, this position is Full Time - Fixed Term (12 - months).

Your part in our UnitingCare team:
Own and support the Prophix platform, ensuring accurate and timely group consolidation and financial reporting outputs
Act as the subject matter expert for Prophix and broader EPM system maintenance, driving continuous improvement in processes, models, security, workflows and system capability across the business
Partner with stakeholders across Finance (junior to senior) to understand requirements, solve complex problems and deliver practical, value-driven solutions
Analyse and reconcile financial data, ensuring integrity, accuracy and strong system controls across non-ERP applications
Lead enhancements to financial processes, including intercompany allocations and detailed reporting structures across multiple business areas
Collaborate with technical teams and manage integrations across systems (e.g. Dynamics 365, SAP, SQL) to support seamless data flow and insights
Provide guidance, training and support to end users, enabling effective self-service and adoption of Prophix
Develop and maintain clear documentation for EPM processes,



system configurations, reporting logic and user guidance to support knowledge sharing and continuity
Build strong stakeholder relationships and challenge thinking where needed to deliver innovative, fit-for-purpose solutions
What makes a difference for us?
Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.
This may include a Nationally Coordinated Police Check, Right to Work in Australia
University degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, engineering, IT or similar)
Proven experience in a Finance Analyst or similar role, with strong understanding of financial principles and data
Demonstrated experience maintaining an EPM system such as Prophix, Workday, or similar EPM solutions, including administration, model maintenance, reporting, consolidation support and system improvements
Strong analytical capability, including advanced Excel and financial modelling skills to interpret complex data
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence both financial and non-financial stakeholders across the business
Ability to think creatively, adapt quickly and develop practical solutions in a rapidly changing environment
Strong documentation skills, with the ability to capture system processes, configurations, business rules and user guidance in a clear and practical way
