About the role
We are seeking a passionate and driven Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to join our Pain Management service.
In this advanced practice role, you will act as the clinical expert, educator and consultant, guiding multi-disciplinary teams to deliver pain management care to inpatients at Western Heath.
Key responsibilities
Provide expert clinical consultation for complex acute and chronic pain inpatients.
Design, implement and participate in Policy and Procedure management.
Mentor, educate, and support medical, nursing and allied health staff.
Drive clinical research, quality improvement, and service development initiatives.
Collaborate closely with anaesthetists, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams.
About you
Current Registered Nurse (RN) registration with AHPRA (or regional equivalent).
Post-graduate qualifications in Pain Management, Advanced Nursing, or a related field.
Proven passion for the speciality of Pain Management as shown by:
Undertaking career development in Pain Nursing.
Clinical experience in the speciality of Pain Nursing.
Involvement in Pain Management Communities of Practice.
Proven leadership experience in a clinical nurse specialist or advanced nursing role.
Exceptional communication, collaborative problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
