Job Task Analysis - Parking Enforcement Officer
Physical Health Assessment - Parking Enforcement Officer
Contribute to maintaining safe, accessible and well-managed public parking areas
Full-time role with a rotating Monday to Sunday roster
Band 4 $76,383 – $81,228 per annum (dependent on experience) plus superannuation and applicable weekend penalty rates
Location: Cheltenham
About the role
The Parking Enforcement Officer is responsible for monitoring and enforcing parking regulations across the municipality in line with legislation and council policies.
The role reports to the Parking Enforcement Coordinator and operates both independently and as part of the Compliance & Amenity Team.
The role involves working across a range of locations within the municipality and contributes to Kingston's accessibility and liveability objectives
The position supports fair access to parking, promotes community safety, and contributes to the effective use of parking spaces for all road users.
Key responsibilities
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled parking patrols across commercial and residential areas
Issue parking infringement notices in accordance with relevant legislation and council procedures
Record, maintain and report accurate documentation of compliance activities
Provide clear and factual information to community members regarding parking rules and requirements
Skills and experience required
Experience as a Parking Enforcement Officer
Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies and procedures consistently
Explicit verbal communication skills to provide information to the public
Written communication skills for accurate record-keeping and reporting
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across designated areas
Attention to detail when assessing and documenting compliance matters
Capacity to undertake prolonged walking and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Current driver's licence
