An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced HR Officer to join a South Australian State Government Department on an immediate-start contract through to the end of the year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated HR professional to contribute to a busy government environment and provide high-quality HR support across a range of functions.
About the Role:
Working at anASO3/4 level ($***** - $***** Per Hours Plus Super - inclusive of casual loading), you will provide day-to-day HR administration and support to managers and employees across the department.
Key responsibilities may include:
Providing general HR advice and administrative support to employees and managers
Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes
Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems
Assisting with HR correspondence, documentation and reporting
Supporting employee lifecycle processes, including leave, transfers and separations
Assisting with workforce and HR projects as required




Responding to HR enquiries in a timely and professional manner
Ensuring HR processes are delivered in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and government requirements
About You:
Previous experience in an HR Officer, HR Administrator or similar role
Solid knowledge of HR processes and administration
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
A professional and confidential approach to handling sensitive employee information
Experience working within a government or large corporate environment will be highly regarded
Relevant HR qualifications or equivalent experience will be advantageous
Essential Requirement:
A current National Police Check (issued within 6-12 months) is mandatory for this position.
