Job Description
Process end-to-end weekly payroll, including collecting, calculating, entering, and cross-checking payroll data for all employees.
Process new hires, terminations, and employee changes in the payroll system.
Complete employee onboarding checklists in Sage and UKG, ensuring contract terms are implemented and processed correctly across all systems.
Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and other earnings to ensure timely and accurate payments.
Update and maintain payroll records for employee contract variations, wage changes, and benefit information.
Complete all pre- and post-payroll checks each week before payment processing,
including bank files and supporting documentation.
Use pre-payroll checklists to identify errors or discrepancies and liaise with managers or staff to implement any required corrections.
Must Haves
Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Certificate IV in Payroll, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a large, high-volume payroll environment.
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, and employment conditions.
Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing and payroll systems such as Sage, UKG, or similar.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality when handling payroll data.
Solid reconciliation, numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work under pressure and meet demanding and competing deadlines.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong aptitude for process management and continuous improvement.
Home Office Requirements
Perfectly working headset and webcam
Stable internet connection of at least 25 Mbps ~ 50 Mbps
Up to date computer system with a minimum of Windows 10 or later and macOS Monterey (12.0) or later
Quiet room with no distractions or background noises
A backup plan if the power goes out or if your internet connection becomes unstable during your shift
