The Role: Compounding Technician – Pharmaceutical
n

A great opportunity has become available for a Compounding Technician to join our team in Old Toongabbie facility in a Full-time permanent position , to cover shifts starting from 4** :00 **** am - midnight, **** Monday to Friday** with flexibility to perform overtime as required.
n
In this role you will be responsible for the aseptic production process- manufacturing Chemotherapy,
Antibiotics and Nutritional products for our hospitals and patients. This includes preparing and compounding sterile medications and solutions according to established protocols, ensuring accuracy, safety, and quality.
n

Duties and Responsibilities:
n
n
Picking and preparing raw materials
n
Aseptically compounding (mixing) sterile solutions
n
Packing of finished units for each order including final inspection of products
n
Labelling and dispatching of prepared products
n
Ensuring documentation is completed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
n
Adhering to Baxter's Standard Operating Procedures
n
Other duties as required
n

Essential skills & qualifications
n
n
Enjoy work that requires a high attention to detail
n
Willingness to learn new skills
n
Adapting to shift work schedules as needed
n
Providing assistance in environments with defined procedures and protocols
n
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
n
Be comfortable working within a cleanroom environment for most of your working day
n
Executing repetitive results in a consistent and accurate manner
n
Demonstrate a good understanding of basic mathematics
n
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
n
Experience in pharmacy, manufacturing or warehousing would be an advantage
n
Tasks involve manual repetitive handling and dexterity
n
Previous manual compounding experience highly regarded
n
n
This role is subject to the following:
n

A pre -employment medical including stringent vision screening (GMP requirement), background and reference checks.

Note:
Training/orientation
will require flexibility for approx. 3-5 months with shift times ranging between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
