The Role
n
The Banking Services Trainee supports the delivery of banking services to Australian Government customers while undertaking a structured traineeship program. The role provides practical experience in banking operations, customer service and administration. The trainee develops knowledge, skills and capabilities through a combination of workplace learning, formal training and on-the-job coaching.

Key Accountabilities

Banking Operations
n
n
Assist with the processing of banking transactions and operational activities.
n
Learn and apply banking procedures, policies and systems.
n
Support the maintenance of accurate records and documentation.
n
Assist with reconciliations and routine reporting activities.
n
n
Customer Service
n
n
Respond to customer enquiries in a qualified and timely manner.
n
Escalate customer issues to appropriate team members when required.
n




Develop an understanding of customer service standards and expectations.
n
n
Administration and Team Support
n
n
Provide administrative support to the branch as required.
n
Contribute to the efficient operation of the team.
n
Participate in team meetings and workplace activities.
n
n
Learning and Development
n
n
Complete all requirements of the traineeship qualification.
n
Actively participate in coaching, training and development activities.
n
Apply learning from formal training in the workplace.
n
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
