Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Bookkeeper / Finance Officer to join our finance team.
n
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will play a key part in maintaining the financial health of the business and ensuring our day-to-day finance operations run smoothly.

About the Role

This is a hands‐on bookkeeping position that is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of financial administration and providing accurate, reliable financial information.
n
You will be responsible for a broad range of bookkeeping, payroll and compliance activities while supporting the wider finance function of a growing business.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Daily bank reconciliations
n
Accounts payable and supplier management
n
Accounts receivable support and debtor follow‐up
n
Balance sheet reconciliations
n
Maintaining accurate financial records
n
Processing journals and assisting with month‐end procedures
n
Payroll & Compliance
n
Weekly payroll processing
n
Managing employee leave records and entitlements
n
Superannuation processing and reconciliation
n
BAS and IAS preparation
n
Maintaining employee and payroll records
n
Supporting compliance with Fair Work and statutory obligations
n




Finance Support
n
Assisting with monthly management reporting
n
Supporting budgeting and cashflow forecasting activities
n
Assisting with financial audits and year‐end requirements
n
Preparing reports and reconciliations for management
n
Working closely with the Head of Finance on finance projects and process improvements
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role you will have:
n
Minimum 3 years bookkeeping experience
n
Robust knowledge of BAS, GST and payroll processing
n
Experience using Xero or similar cloud accounting software
n
Excellent reconciliation skills
n
High attention to detail and accuracy
n
Strong organisational and time management skills
n
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
n
Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
Highly Regarded
n
Experience within a trades, construction or project‐based business
n
Knowledge of payroll tax and workers compensation reporting
n
Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping or similar qualification
n
Experience working within a multi‐entity business structure
