QLD Operations Manager (Remedial Building)

Are you an experienced Operations Manager, Construction Manager or Senior Project Manager/ Project Manager with strong Class 2 remedial building experience and ready to take ownership of an established Queensland operation?
n
Our client is one of Australia's most respected Class 2 remedial building contractors, with 50+ years of industry success and offices across Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Canberra.
n
The Queensland business is already established, with an experienced team, existing project portfolio, strong client relationships, established systems and KPI's in place.
n
This role is about leading the existing Class 2 remedial building operation, maintaining its performance and continuing to drive growth across Queensland.
n
The Role
n
Based from the Brisbane office (Chermside), you'll take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the Queensland Class 2 remedial building business, working closely with the Sydney office and Senior Leadership Team. Remedial Building projects from $100k up to $15M dollars.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Lead the existing QLD project, construction and administration teams
n
Oversee the successful delivery of Class 2 remedial building projects
n
Manage business performance against established KPIs, budgets and targets
n
Provide leadership to Project Managers, Site Managers, Estimators and Contract Administrators
n
Monitor project costs, margins, variations,



claims and profitability
n
Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, engineers, strata managers and key stakeholders
n
Oversee tendering, estimating and new Class 2 remedial project opportunities
n
Manage commercial, project, client and subcontractor issues
n
Maintain key subcontractor, supplier and specialist trade relationships
n
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability
n
Lead, mentor and develop the existing team
n
Support ongoing client management and business development within the Class 2 remedial building market
n
Ensure the QLD operation follows established company systems and processes
n
Take ownership of the overall financial and operational performance of the branch
n
Act as the senior company representative in Queensland
n

Class 2 Remedial Building Works

Concrete repair & concrete cancer remediation

Waterproofing

Balcony remediation & upgrades

Structural strengthening & repair
n
Façade restoration and remediation

Combustible Cladding replacement

Building refurbishment and remediation

Commercial and residential Class 2 remedial works

About You
n
We're looking for an experienced construction qualified with strong builder-side Class 2 remedial building experience.
n
You may currently be an:
n
n
Operations Manager
n
Construction Manager
n
Senior Project Manager (We will consider Project Managers wanting to progress their career as well)
n
State/Branch Manager
n
Remedial Building Manager
n
n
You'll need a strong understanding of Class 2 remedial building, together with proven leadership, commercial and client management skills. Class 2 Remedial Building experience is an essential requirement.
n
You should be capable of managing people, projects, clients and the overall operational and financial performance of an established remedial building business.
n
