Due to continued business growth, we are currently seeking two experienced Painters to join our professional team.
n
About the Role
n
You will work on a variety of painting projects throughout Canberra and surrounding areas. The role includes surface preparation, interior and exterior painting, touch-ups and finishing work. You will be expected to complete work safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling and repairing imperfections
n
Apply paint, stains, varnishes and other finishes using brushes, rollers and spray equipment
n
Perform interior and exterior painting work
n
Mix and match paint colours when required
n
Protect floors, furniture, windows and surrounding areas before commencing work
n
Complete touch-ups and ensure a clean, professional finish
n
Follow project specifications, safety procedures and supervisor instructions
n
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
n
Keep worksites clean, organised and safe
n
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
n




Complete projects efficiently and within required timeframes
n

Skills and Experience
n
To be successful in this role, you should have:
n
n
At least two years of relevant painting experience
n
Good knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques
n
Experience with residential, commercial or industrial painting
n
The ability to use brushes, rollers and spray equipment confidently
n
Solid attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
n
Good time-management and problem-solving skills
n
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
A reliable, responsible and professional attitude
n
Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual work
n
A strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
n
A valid White Card
n
A current Australian driver's licence and reliable transport
n
n
Relevant trade qualifications are preferred but not essential for candidates with solid industry experience.
