Your new role
n
We're seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Trades Assistant to join a busy Mackay workshop. Working in a sheltered environment, you'll play a key role in the refurbishment, maintenance and preparation of transportable buildings. This position is ideal for someone with a construction, carpentry, trade assistant or building maintenance background who enjoys hands‐on work and takes pride in delivering quality results.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting tradespeople with repairs, maintenance and refurbishments
n
Re-sheeting walls, repairing door frames and completing general building works
n
Operating hand and power tools
n
Cleaning, pressure washing and preparing buildings for delivery
n
General workshop and yard duties
n




Forklift operation (if licensed)
n
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment
n
n
What you'll need to succeed
n
n
Previous experience in construction, trades assisting, carpentry or building maintenance
n
Robust experience using hand and power tools
n
Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
n
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
n
Strong work ethic and reliability
n
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
n

Must be living locally in Mackay
n
