THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in the leadership and performance of a high-volume retail outlet at Homebush DFO.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys being visible on the shop floor, developing people and taking ownership of the day-to-day performance of a busy store.
You will play an important role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while supporting commercial performance, team engagement and operational standards.
Day-to-Day Partner with the Store Manager to drive store sales, profitability and overall performance.
Lead, coach and develop a diverse retail team, helping individuals reach their potential and preparing high performers for future opportunities.
Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management and succession planning across the team.
Create an engaging customer environment through consistently high standards of service and leadership.
Monitor store standards, operational procedures and loss prevention practices.
Work closely with the team to maximise commercial opportunities, including promotional activity and key trading periods.
Maintain strong visual and merchandise presentation standards across the store.
Oversee daily stock activity, replenishment, transfers and floor changes.
Use commercial awareness and customer feedback to identify opportunities to improve sales and performance.
Act as a positive role model for professionalism, presentation, teamwork and customer service.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail management or supervisory leadership position.
Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team of 10+ people.
Previous experience in a high-volume, fast-paced or outlet retail setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build genuine relationships with customers and team members.
A commercially minded approach with an understanding of sales, performance and operational standards.
Confident coaching and developing people, with a genuine interest in helping others succeed.
Highly motivated, accountable and comfortable working in a hands-on retail environment.
Strong attention to detail and pride in personal presentation.
A collaborative team player who can also take ownership and make decisions independently.
A genuine passion for premium customer service and representing a high-profile international retail business.
