About the Role This is a practical, site-based Bridge Worker opportunity supporting the maintenance, repair and construction of bridge and culvert infrastructure throughout regional NSW.
Working as part of an experienced field crew, you will undertake a combination of concrete, timber and steel-related activities across bridge structures and associated civil assets.
The position will suit someone comfortable working outdoors, using hand and battery-powered tools and travelling extensively to regional worksites.
Approximately 90% of the role involves camping or working away from the home base, so applicants must be comfortable with regular regional travel.




Regular overtime opportunities may also be available depending on operational requirements.
Position: Bridge Worker Pay Rate: $***** per hour + super, PAYG Location: Wagga Wagga, NSW Start Date: ASAP End Date: 24 December **** Hours: 8.5-hour working days Roster: 76 hours per fortnight Work Structure: 9-day fortnight Travel: Approximately 90% working/camping away Overtime: Regular opportunities available Key Responsibilities Undertake general cleaning and sweeping of bridges and culverts Carry out general painting of concrete, timber and steel structures Maintain housekeeping of site tool sheds, trailers and work areas Assist with formwork and falsework for concrete bridge elements Complete formwork activities for kerbs, end posts, topping slabs, wing walls and base slabs Undertake chainsaw and adze work on large timber bridge elements Work on timber components including girders, piers and kerbs Perform steel fixing activities as required for bridge works Use battery-powered hand tools safely and effectively Assist with general bridge maintenance and construction activities as directed Follow site safety procedures, work instructions and relevant WHS requirements Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition About You You will be a practical and safety-conscious worker with experience in civil construction, bridge maintenance, concrete construction or a comparable hands-on infrastructure environment.
You will be comfortable working outdoors, travelling regularly and contributing to a crew where reliability and teamwork are essential.
