Senior financial reporting and management role Lead budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes CPA/CA qualified with 5+ years' experience Senior Accountant Finance Accounting Services | Brisbane CBD | Permanent Full-time We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the Finance Accounting Services team, reporting to the Financial Controller .
The Senior Accountant provides accounting and financial support across assigned Archdiocesan agencies and directorates, with responsibility for financial and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance and stakeholder support.
About the Role Key responsibilities include: Prepare monthly management reports and financial commentary.
Complete general ledger reconciliations within required timeframes.
Lead budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes.
Prepare and consolidate annual financial statements.
Respond to audit queries and support compliance requirements.
Review invoices, payments and credit card transactions.
Assist with annual WorkCover and FBT requirements.
Partner with stakeholders to provide financial guidance and insights.
Analyse financial variances and provide meaningful commentary to business leaders.
About You To be successful, you will bring: 5+ years' experience in financial management within a complex organisation.
Relevant postgraduate qualifications in accounting, commerce, business, economics or a related discipline.
Full professional membership with CPA or CA .
Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, FBT, governance and compliance.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
High attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP would be advantageous.
