Do you bring 7+ years of leadership experience in production?

Reporting to the General Manager Operations, the Superintendent Production is responsible for establishing production operations requirements and inputting these requirements as production plans, overseeing the daily operations, ensuring efficient production, adhering to safety regulations, and effective utilisation of resources.
This role requires strong leadership, change management, technical expertise and effective communication skills.

We are rapidly progressing the Mardie Salt Operation and Potash Project (Mardie Operation), a tier 1 solar evaporation project that will supply high-purity industrial salt and sulphate of potash (SOP) for more than 60 years.
Mardie will be the largest salt operation in Australia and the third largest globally.

The Role You'll play a pivotal role in establishing and leading the operational framework that will drive safe, reliable and efficient production.
From overseeing the Brine Supply, Crystalliser, Wash Plant and Laboratory operations to monitoring plant performance and process control systems, you'll be at the forefront of delivering operational excellence.
This is truly an opportunity to shape how the operation works.
You'll use your technical expertise and operational insight to develop methodologies,
establish robust operating procedures, identify opportunities for improvement and drive initiatives that optimise efficiency, minimise waste and maximise plant performance.
Working closely with a vast range of stakeholders, you'll ensure the operation is well planned, connected and positioned to minimise downtime and deliver against its production objectives.
You'll coach and develop Supervisors and the wider Production team, set transparent expectations and foster a culture where accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and high performance are the standard.
Safety will sit at the heart of everything you do, with a strong focus on ensuring our people are competent, supported and empowered to work safely.

About You: The successful candidate will hold: Certificate IV in Leadership Management or similar.
At least 7 years' experience in mining production (in a leadership capacity) within the mining production or salt mining industry.
Experience in mobile and fixed plant operations, preferably in the mining industry, with relevant mobile equipment qualifications.
Proven track record in achieving production targets and improving plant efficiency Experience in leading a team with a strong understanding of people management and the employee life cycle.
Construction Induction Card (White Card) Statutory Supervisor Certification (Worksafe/DEMIRS) and understanding of WHS (Mines) Regulations (WA) **** Commercial and contractual management understanding.
Experience in reviewing and managing departmental budgets.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook SharePoint).
The successful candidate will be required to provide a national police clearance that is not older than 6 months and must hold a WA White Card.
You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia to be eligible for consideration.
