A successful, growing Brisbane engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join its Land Development team in the CBD, delivering some of SEQ's most significant residential communities.
This is large-scale land development in the true sense – major greenfield communities where civil engineering decisions influence how entire areas will ultimately function.
Projects can extend beyond 2,000 lots and involve complex staging, infrastructure, servicing, drainage and authority requirements over lengthy development programmes.
Your experience may include: • Major greenfield residential subdivisions • Large-scale urban and land development • Road and intersection design • Bulk earthworks and site grading • Stormwater drainage and management • WSUD, detention and water quality • Water and sewer infrastructure • Utility servicing and coordination • Council and authority approvals • Construction and site-related engineering Strong 12D capability will be important, with experience using MUSIC and DRAINS also highly regarded.
At Senior level, however, your value goes considerably further than software.
We are looking for someone capable of taking ownership of significant projects and becoming the person clients, developers, contractors and your own team can rely on to keep things moving.




Your involvement will include: • Leading civil design and project delivery • Managing multiple projects and competing deadlines • Coordinating engineers and designers • Reviewing designs and maintaining technical standards • Managing project programmes and deliverables • Working directly with developers and other key clients • Liaising with councils, authorities and contractors • Resolving design and construction issues • Mentoring and developing junior engineers • Contributing to proposals and future project opportunities You will need strong technical foundations, but equally important will be your judgement, organisation and ability to communicate.
Large developments rarely run exactly according to plan.
The successful engineer will be someone who can identify problems early, provide practical solutions and maintain strong relationships with clients while keeping projects commercially and technically on track.
