OT cybersecurity governance /major project delivery Cooma / FIFO - 1 week in Cooma, 1 week working from home Ensure cybersecurity is embedded throughout the entire project lifecycle OT Cybersecurity Industrial Controls Assurance Lead Sydney or FIFO to Cooma $190k to $240k + Super Major Critical Infrastructure Project This is not a traditional IT cybersecurity role This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of OT cybersecurity, industrial automation, major infrastructure delivery, and critical infrastructure governance on one of Australia's largest electromechanical infrastructure projects.
We are seeking an experienced OT Cybersecurity Industrial Controls Assurance Lead to govern cybersecurity risk, compliance, and secure system delivery across a multi billion dollar industrial and operational technology setting.
The role combines elements of: • OT / ICS cybersecurity • Industrial automation and control systems • Project controls and electromechanical delivery • Cybersecurity compliance and governance • SCADA / PLC architecture review • FAT, SAT, commissioning and lifecycle assurance • Critical infrastructure and regulated asset environments You will work across engineering, automation, digital delivery, vendors, system integrators, and project leadership teams to ensure cybersecurity is embedded throughout the entire project lifecycle, from design and procurement through to commissioning and operational readiness.




This role is ideally suited to someone coming from sectors such as: • Utilities • Power generation • Hydro • Mining • Rail signalling and control systems • Water infrastructure • Oil Gas • Tier 1 industrial automation vendors The successful candidate will bring strong exposure to industrial control systems, OT risk governance, and major infrastructure project delivery environments.
Key areas of expertise may include: • IEC ***** implementation • SCADA and PLC architectures • Siemens, ABB, Schneider or similar ecosystems • Industrial network segmentation and secure remote access • FAT / SAT cybersecurity validation • OT asset lifecycle and vulnerability management • Critical infrastructure compliance frameworks • NIS2, ISO*****, Essential Eight or related standards We are particularly interested in candidates who can bridge the gap between engineering delivery teams and cybersecurity governance, someone capable of operating comfortably in highly technical industrial environments while managing risk, compliance, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
