Australian Business Hospitality Training (ABHT) is looking for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to grow our presence across Brisbane s southeast.
This is a genuine sales role for someone who enjoys developing new business, building strong relationships and being rewarded for results.
We re looking for someone with a proven sales record who enjoys working towards targets, developing opportunities and building a network that generates long-term business.
The Role You ll be responsible for developing new business and building relationships with employers, hospitality venues, industry contacts, employment service providers and other organisations across Brisbane s southeast.
You ll spend much of your time out in the market meeting people, developing relationships, identifying opportunities and converting those opportunities into business.
You ll be expected to manage your own pipeline, prospect for new opportunities, follow up consistently and work towards clear sales targets and KPIs.
While new business is important, so are relationships.
We want someone who understands how to develop genuine partnerships that continue to generate opportunities over the long term.
About You You ll ideally have: A proven track record in sales or business development Experience achieving or exceeding sales targets Robust prospecting and relationship-building skills Confidence approaching new businesses and decision-makers The ability to develop and manage a strong sales pipeline Excellent follow-up and communication skills A self-motivated and results-focused approach A genuine enjoyment of networking and meeting new people Experience within the training sector is not essential.
For us, strong sales ability and the right attitude are more important.

Hospitality Experience Would Be a Big Advantage ABHT has strong connections to Queensland s hospitality industry,
so experience or an existing network within hospitality would be highly regarded.
You may already know venue owners, managers, hospitality groups or other industry decision-makers.
The role may also involve attending industry events, venue openings and networking opportunities, some of which can occur during hospitality trading periods, including occasional Friday or Saturday evenings.
Remuneration We ve structured this role to reward performance.
The package includes: Base salary Attractive uncapped commission Superannuation Company vehicle There is genuine opportunity to increase your earnings through robust sales performance.

And If You re a Hospitality Trainer If you re a strong salesperson and you also happen to hold a current TAE with hospitality qualifications, then you, my friend, are a unicorn.

For the right person, there may also be opportunities to undertake hospitality training and assessment work, providing the potential to earn additional income alongside your BDM role.
