Job description Cyber Security Specialist Fremantle, WA | Full-Time Our client is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to help protect and enhance the security of their IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
This role is responsible for ensuring system access is appropriately controlled, monitoring and responding to security threats, and supporting the implementation of cyber security standards, policies, and controls across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities Monitor and maintain IT security systems and services.
Liaise with internal IT teams and the external Security Operations Centre (SOC).
Investigate security incidents and escalate risks as required.
Identify vulnerabilities and recommend security improvements.
Assist with security governance across OT environments, including SCADA and CCTV systems.
Conduct compliance audits and support user access management processes.
Contribute to cyber security awareness and training initiatives.
Support the development of security standards, procedures, and business cases for technology improvements.
About You Information Security qualification or significant experience in a cyber security role.
Strong understanding of ACSC Essential Eight, NIST, ISO *****, and Azure security frameworks.
Experience securing on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
Exposure to SIEM platforms, security operations, and incident response.
Experience with OT/SCADA environments highly regarded.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
TOGAF or SABSA certification will be highly regarded.
