Komatsu Forklift Australia is seeking a Workshop Supervisor to join our Newcastle branch in Tomago.
You'll lead the day-to-day workshop operation, supporting our technicians to deliver safe, high-quality repairs and maintenance while ensuring our customers receive the service they expect.
What You'll Be Doing This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll stay connected to the workshop while taking greater ownership of people, workflow and customer outcomes.
You'll be responsible for: Leading and coordinating technicians and workshop personnel across their day-to-day activities.
Planning and prioritising workshop jobs to keep work moving efficiently.
Providing technical support and guidance when the team needs it.
Ensuring servicing, maintenance and repairs are completed safely and to a high standard.
Reviewing and authorising workshop quotations.




Working directly with customers to understand requirements and deliver strong service outcomes.
Coordinating labour requirements with other areas of the business.
Monitoring workshop performance, productivity and profitability.
Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and compliance across the operation.
About You You know your way around a workshop and have the technical credibility to support a team, but you're equally comfortable organising work, dealing with customers and helping technicians perform at their best.
We're looking for someone who brings: A relevant mechanical trade background, ideally within forklifts, material handling, automotive, plant or heavy equipment.
Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Supervisor or senior technician, or the capability and ambition to step into leadership.
Robust diagnostic and mechanical knowledge.
The ability to coordinate competing workshop priorities.
A genuine commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
A practical, approachable leadership style.
The confidence to make decisions and take ownership of workshop outcomes
